Aloha Spirit Days - October 11 & 25

Who: All Greenwood students and staff are invited to participate in two upcoming Aloha Spirit Days!

What: In addition to dressing up to show their Aloha Spirit, students can donate funds to go to organizations that are helping people on the island of Maui following the devastation caused by the fires in August. All donations will be collected in the classrooms. (Please send donations in cash and not coins because banks now charge to count coins.) Students will also have the opportunity to purchase leis for $1.00 (while supplies last), with all proceeds from sales going into the school's Maui fund.

Where: Students can wear school appropriate outfits to school to show their Aloha spirit. These outfits may include tropical prints, floral leis or hair accessories, etc.

When: Aloha Spirit Days will take place at school on Wednesday, October 11 and Wednesday, October 25. Students can bring in their donations to their classrooms any school day between October 11th and October 25th.

Why: This is a great opportunity to talk with your child about the importance of charity and to let them participate in a cause our own student council has opted to support as a community. We hope you will join us in coming together to help people on the island of Maui!
