Remote Learning
About the Event
The plan for remote learning instruction allows the classroom teacher to directly engage with every student five days a week.
Each day your child will log on at the start of their assigned start time to engage in three hours of synchronous learning delivered through Zoom, Google Meets or Microsoft TEAMS. Your child’s teacher will communicate which platform they will be using. During this time your child’s teacher will teach reading, writing, math, science, social studies, and SEL (social emotional learning). They will also have synchronous specials (art, music, STEAM, physical education) every other day. We follow a two-week rotation for specials. Teachers and parents alike recognize that it is not reasonable, or healthy, for students to be glued to the computer for three uninterrupted hours. Teachers will have students take breaks and provide opportunities to engage with each other. If your child receives support outside of the classroom they will receive support during their asynchronous time. These teachers will communicate directly with parents regarding schedules.
The below schedule, set by district, provides synchronous learning including all content areas. A one-hour lunch time is provided for all students. Attendance will be taken daily. You will call our attendance line as you typically would to report your child’s absence: 720-554-3495.
Grades K-2 8 – 11 am
Grades 3-5 Noon – 3 pm
Our before- and after-school program will remain open during remote learning. Click here for more information.
Lost and Found items will be placed outside, in front of the entrance doors, at dismissal this week. Remaining items will be donated to Clothes to Kids.
